MANILA, Philippines — A 71-year-old man was arrested on charges of running a brothel in the Philippines, including counterfeiting pills and taking an illegal drug that he had purchased from a street vendor.
Police seized a package of the counterfeit Viagra in the Philippines, where the seller, Monique Domingo, is alleged to have been using it to sell pills for erectile dysfunction, according to the Manila Times.
According to the Times, the seller told police the seller was using the pills to buy an “erectile dysfunction drug” that is sold as a “Viagra.”
The investigation is ongoing.
“Monique Domingo has been charged with a number of counts and has not yet been cleared by a jury,” the paper reports.
The Philippines Police Crime Unit is also investigating the case.
“Monique Domingo is a renowned seller of Viagra that sells at the wholesale level. He has a strong history of using this drug to treat his sexual problems,” the paper quoted a police official as saying.
In July 2015, Monique Domingo allegedly used a “pharmacy worker” who sold drugs to Monique and another worker at the pharmacy.
Monique is a 62-year-old man living in Davao City.
The police believe that the seller purchased the counterfeit pills in a “pharmacy.”
